light art installation, Marina Bay Sands, in Singapore. 燈光藝術裝置

An installation piece titled "1.26" by artist Janet Echelman of the United States is suspended over the Marina Bay Sands, Thursday, March 6, 2014, in Singapore. Echelman used laboratory research which documented the effects of the 2010 earthquake in Chile. The shock resulted in the shortening of the earthâs day by 1.26 microseconds, which became the influence for the installationâs name. This piece takes the shape of a tsunami sweeping across the ocean. The iLight Marina Bay exhibition features innovative and environmentally sustainable light art installations from around the world, displayed along the Singapore river. (AP Photo/Wong Maye-E)
