Afghan refugee children lie on a pile of straw gathered for the livestock, while playing in a poor neighbourhood on the outskirts of Islamabad, Pakistan. Pakistan hosts more than 1.6m Afghans, the largest and most protracted refugee population in the world, according to the UN refugee agency.
