Oded Balilty has been a staff photographer for the AP since 2002. He was based in Beijing, China in 2007 and 2008 and is now based in Jerusalem, where he engages with newsworthy and documentary photography throughout Israel and abroad for the AP.
In 2013 Balilty won first place for feature photography for a series on an orthodox wedding in Israel and also won first place for a portrait series for Pictures of the Year International and gold prize for a Soviet Spirit feature on Daily Life by China International Press Photo. In 2007 Balilty won a Pulitzer for Breaking News Photography. (AP)
