In this picture taken Saturday Aug. 3, 2013, Witold Kiezun, 91, is talking to The Associated Press in Warsaw, Poland, about how he fought in the 1944 Warsaw uprising against the occupying Nazi German troops. Kiezun was captured in a 1944 documentary film that cameramen of the clandestine Home Army were taking to document the city’s revolt. Recently, the Warsaw Rising Museum hired cinematographers to add color, sound and story line to the historical black-and-white, silent footage and turned it into a 90-minute feature film “Warsaw Rising” that is to hit cinemas internationally next year.
