旗魚又稱馬林魚，各大洋皆有分佈。台灣以東部黑潮海域魚獲量最多，主要有劍旗魚、雨傘旗魚、立翅旗魚、黑皮旗魚與紅肉旗魚等五種。其中雨傘旗魚、立翅旗魚、黑皮旗魚產量較多，劍旗魚與紅肉旗魚產量則相對稀少。
