Conspicuous by their presence, two women from the Otjigrine section of the Otruppe march alongside a group of women from the Otjiserandu. The women's formal, or 'military' dresses are worn on ceremonies and festivals like Herero day, which is held every August to commemorate Herero chiefs of the past.
