A young Sri Lankan flood victim looks on at a roadside camp in Kelaniya, on the outskirts of Colombo on May 22, 2016. Sri Lankan soldiers pulled more bodies from landslides and distributed food and water to hundreds of thousands of residents camped in shelters on May 22 after major floods hit the island. More than 80 people are known to have died so far across the island amid fears the number could rise – with 118 people still listed as missing. (Photo by Ishara S. Kodikara/AFP Photo)

A Sri Lankan ethnic Tamil woman prays, 斯里蘭卡泰米爾少數民族婦女祈禱

In this June 3, 2016, photo, a Sri Lankan ethnic Tamil woman prays at a Hindu temple in Colombo, Sri Lanka, Friday, June 3, 2016. For the hundreds of thousands of minority ethnic Tamils, the Sri Lankan government's repeated promises of post-war reconciliation ring false, even as authorities take tentative steps toward fulfilling some of them. Many expected a new era of healing and atonement when President Maithripala Sirisena took office in 2015, but progress has been slow as he cautiously balances the Tamils' anguished demands with the persistent fears of the Sinhalese majority. Sri Lankan navy and army personnel evacuate residents, 斯里蘭卡海軍和陸軍人員疏散居民

Sri Lankan navy and army personnel evacuate residents following flooding in the Kolonnawa suburb of Colombo on May 20, 2016. Desperate Sri Lankans clambered onto rubber dinghies and makeshift rafts May 20 to flee their homes in the flooded capital Colombo as fresh downpours elsewhere stalled rescue efforts at disaster zones. The heaviest rains in a quarter of a century have pounded the island since last weekend, sparking huge landslides that have buried victims in up to 50 feet (15 metres) of mud.
