Putin flexes his muscles
A man takes pictures of a carnival float depicting Russia’s president Vladimir Putin flexing his muscles shaped like a bomb reading “Crimea”, ahead of the traditional carnival parade in Duesseldorf, western Germany. The street spectacles in the carnival centres of Duesseldorf, Mainz and Cologne are watched by hundreds of thousands of people and are the highlight of Germany’s carnival season called Rosenmontag (Rose Monday).
