Tian Tian the female panda at Edinburgh zoo sits inside her enclosure. Experts at the zoo have been monitoring Tian Tian as her hormone levels have been showing she will soon enter her brief fertile mating period. It is hoped that Tian Tian and the zoo’s male panda Yang Guang will produce a cub this year as both animals start to show the signs that they are ready to breed.
